The objective of the Paraclete K9 Basic Patrol Dog School is to produce a police service dog team (handler and dog) that is completely prepared and capable of working on the street as a patrol dog team. Upon completion of this course the dog will be proficient in all patrol dog functions; Including: Area search, building search, high risk traffic stops/vehicle barricades, arrest/contact team integration, handler protection, article/evidence search and obedience/control. Additionally, the dog will be prepared to integrate with and deploy with a tactical/SWAT team. At the end of this course, the dog will also have basic tracking training if desired. This training will lay the foundation and give the team the tools to be successful if they continue with a tracking training program if desired. Paraclete will certify the dog team through the National Police Canine Association once school is complete.
Schedule and cost will be determined after discussion of needs.
